Onwards and upwards!

Life is a funny old thing. This year has been a problem for just about everybody I know, and people who I thought I knew have surprised me in not very pleasant ways, so I can honestly say I'm looking forward to 2009 with profound feelings of hope and positivity as I know it's going to be great.

We've just started editing (and filming) International Armwrestling (52 episodes for Eurosport), and I truly have the feeling that this is going to be huge next year. I'd never heard of it until we started working with it, but I can see the potential.

Also once the RQW training school is operational properly it looks like the facility will be in use practically every day. Apart from wrestling I have several MA organisations enquiring about hiring it.

Then there's The Magical History Tour. It's great to be back on radio, and the roadshow looks like it will be touring next year as well. Add the TNA tour into the mix and the start of some very exciting stuff featuring India (although Mumbai is not the place to be at the moment), plus the reality TV show that I'm putting together called "The Knight Dynasty" (guess what it's about), there's more than enough to have me smiling.

All I have to do now is try and get into the Christmas spirit. I do love Christmas and I so want this year to be a great one to compensate for the rest of the year.

Live radio

It's been many years since I've presented a radio show live, but now The Magical History Tour will be doing just that from December 4th on www.urradiooldies.com at 3pm to 6pm EST Thursday afternoons. This will be fun but it's more than that as it's a test of the whole studio system at RQW House. While I won't be doing any phone requests I will be taking email requests and messages and integrating some quite revolutionary radio software so it's all quite exciting.

On a wrestling related front, the ring is finally taking shape at RQW House, and I've just arranged some sessions that should add to the attraction , including an Al Snow seminar in February. 2009 is shaping up to be a much better year than 2008 was, so I can't wait for January 1st.

Busy times.

It's been a very eventful weekend with 2 wrestling shows, SAS in Birmingham and IPW:UK in Bromley, both of which went fine except for El Ligero receiving a dislocated shoulder on saturday (get well soon amigo), and Dean Ayass retiring from wrestling commentary at IPW:UK.
I've known Dean for a couple of years and he's a very good friend, and one of those people that can add a lot to an environment just by being there. British wrestling will be that much poorer now that he's chosen to take a step back (he calls it retirement but I'm not so sure). As a commentator he was second to none, as a person he's one of the nicest guys I've ever had the privilige to call friend. Good luck Dean in all that you do.

I'm now officially classed as a worldwide DJ as both editions of The Magical History Tour were broadcast over the weekend, on radiomaxmusic.com and offshoremusicradio.com. It felt strange hearing my voice on the air again as I haven't been on radio in 26 years, and I'm loving it. I look forward to hearing from people all over the globe.

The start of another monday and much to do.
Cheers

The Magical History Tour hits the airwaves!

Finally, in my 40th year as a DJ I get the honour of creating The Magical History Tour for 2 radio stations broadcasting worldwide via the internet.
Offshoremusicradio.com and radiomaxmusic.com.

I did a lot of radio work in the earlier years but now it's primarily as a mobile DJ, and while I get a huge buzz doing that, there's nothing better than hearing yourself on a radio station.

On the other front, the Real Quality Wrestling training school finally gets its ring tomorrow YAY!!

There are some personal issues that I'm not sure about putting down here, but once I get used to doing this I'll no doubt open up a bit more.

Cheers
Len
